Disclosed is a composition that is polymerizable by contacting it with an olefin metathesis catalyst comprising dicyclopentadiene, red phosphorus, and a brominated aromatic compound selected from the group consisting of decabromodiphenyl oxide, N, N min -ethylene-bis-(tetrabromophthalimide), brominated polystyrene, brominated polyphenylene oxide, tetradecabromodiphenoxy benzene, tetrabromoxylene, and octabromodiphenyl oxide.
