PURPOSE:To safely discard cement drainage by feeding alkali drainage contg. hexavalent chromium at the prescribed pressure and adding gaseous SO2 thereto and thereafter allowing these to react with each other in a mixer incorporated in a fluid supply pipe. CONSTITUTION:Alkali drainage contg. hexavalent chromium is sent out through a fluid supply pipe 2 via a pump 3. A mixer 4 is interposed on the way of the fluid supply pipe 2 and a feed pipe 6 of gaseous SO2 which is fed from a supply source 5 such as a cylinder provided to the outside of the system is connected to the mixer 4 or to the fluid supply pipe 2a of the upstream side of the mixer 4 and gaseous SO2 fed through this feed pipe 6 is drawn into the mixer. Then these are violently mixed by the mixer 4 and both pH regulation and reduction of hexavalent chromium are performed. Thereby the running cost can be reduced.
