摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the performance caused by moisture content, by applying the sealant onto the ends of a joint part and covering either this joint-part or its end parts with a cap member together with fastening the cap member by means of a band. CONSTITUTION:A cyrindrical body 1 made of a fiber-reinforced synthetic resin (FRP) is formed through the filament-winding method by using, for example, carbon fiber or glass fiber as the reinforcing material and by using an epoxy resin as the matrix. The end part of a metallic yoke 2 is inserted into both ends of the said FRP-made, cylindrical body 1 via an adhesive 3. Next, the sealant 4 is applied in a circular shape to the end part of the joint-part between the cylindrical body 1 and the metallic yoke 2. As for the sealant, an epoxy resin, phenolic resin, etc. are used as the hardening type, while butyl rubber, acrylic resin, etc. are used as the non-hardening type. With this contrivance, deterioration in the performance of the joint-part or in the FRP-made cyrindrical body caused by damp and heat can remarkably be prevented.
