PURPOSE:To prevent respective images from shifting in position by forming the image of reflected light on the 1st photosensitive body by the 1st mirror provided on an optical path, splitting transmitted luminous flux from it by the 2nd mirror and forming the image of its reflected light on the 2nd photosensitive body, and reflecting light outside the area of the 2nd mirror by the 3rd mirror and forming its image on the 3rd photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The 1st, the 2nd, and the 3rd photosensitive bodies 14, 15, and 16 are driven clockwise by respective driving rollers 33. The photosensitive bodies 14, 15, and 16 after being discharged electrostatically by respective discharging lamps 24 are charged uniformly by respective electrostatic chargers 20 and exposed at positions E1, E2, and E3 to original images which are color-separated by blue, green, and red at the same time. A white illumination unit 2 and mirrors 3, 4, and 5 are move as shown by arrows 3', 4', and 5' to perform image exposure from the front end of an original to the rear end. Thus, electrostatic latent images are formed on respective photosensitive body surfaces. In a following developing process, the image on the 1st photosensitive body 14 is visualized by developing devices 17 and 17' with yellow toner in complementary color relation with blue because the photosensitive body is already exposed to the blue image, and the images on the 2nd and the 3rd photosensitive bodies 15 and 16 are also visualized similarly.
