PURPOSE:To easily confirm the operation of a called station even if no attendant exists at the called station, by designating a communication agreement for confirming operated conditions separately from a communication agreement regarding the data transmission and reception. CONSTITUTION:Firstly a user side performs dialing to a master side by inputting the telephone number of the master side, telephone number of the user side, and length of test data through a keyboard 21. Upon dialing, the master side receives the test data and, at the same time, dials the user side by extracting the telephone number of the user side. After receiving the response from the user side, the test data transmitted from the user side are sent through a communication controller telephone line 205 on the master side. On the user side, the test data are receive and the received data are compared with the previously transmitted test data. Therefore, operations of a user-side teletex device including its communication circuit can be confirmed easily.
