Herbicidal 1-aryl- DELTA 2-1,2,4-triazolin-5-ones and sulfur analogs thereof

Aryltriazolinones of the formula <IMAGE> in which W is oxygen or sulfur, X1 and X2 are independently selected from halogen, haloalkyl, and alkyl, and R, R1 and R2 are selected from various radicals are disclosed as herbicides. Herbicidal efficacy and preparation of the compounds are described and exemplified.
