NEW MATERIAL:A binuclear complex shown by formula I (M is transition metallic atom; L is bifunctional combining group; A and R are monofunctional group; X is monovalent ionic ligand; Y is crosslinkable ligand; n is 0-15; P is 0-3 integer). EXAMPLE:A complex shown by formula II. USE:A modified electrode having enzyme (e.g. super oxide dismutase, catalase, etc.). PREPARATION:A compound (e.g. 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol, etc.) shown by formula III is reacted with 2mol solution of ANH2 (e.g. dodecylamine, etc.) in ethanol under heating to give a compound shown by formula IV. Then, this compound is reacted with an aqueous solution of MX2.lH2 O (l is 0 or positive integer (e.g. aqueous solution of CuCl2, etc.) to give a complex shown by formu la V (n=0 in the formula II).
