PURPOSE:To bring forth a rust-preventing effect for the coupler of concrete piles by preventing the concentration of stress on the coupler by a method in which female and male screws provided to the coupler of an upper pile and a lower pile are coated with a cement paste containing a water-soluble high molecular compound. CONSTITUTION:A cement paste 3 containing a water-soluble high molecular compound is coated on the whole surfaces of the female screw 1 of an upper pile A and also of the male screw 2 of a lower pile A'. The female screw 1 of the pile A is put on the male screw 2 of the pile A' and the pile A is turned to connect both the piles A and A'. The concentration of stress on the coupler by compressive forces by loading and bending by earthquake can thus be prevented, and a rust-preventing effect on the coupler can be brought forth. The connecting work can be attained in a short time at low cost.
