PURPOSE:To increase the holding force and to prevent leakage of fluid by holding a lip seal by means of a spacer supported on a case and a sealing member contained in the case while furthermore holding the lip seal between a thin sealing member at the other end in the inner circumferential axial direction and a spacer. CONSTITUTION:A case 4 has an approximately square cross-section where one end of the inner circumferential section is notched and formed into a ring surrounding a rotary shaft 2. A sealing member 5 is secured to the inner and outer circumferential faces of the case 4. A spacer 7 is supported at a portion 4d of the case 4 in the radial direction of the rotary shaft while holding a thin sealing member where the endface of the sealing member filled between the inner and outer circumferential sections 4a, 4c in the axial direction of the case is projected 5b and coupled with the sealing member at the inside of the inner circumferential section 4a through a thin sealing member 5a. A lip seal 6 is held by the sections 5a, 5b of said sealing member and the spacer 7. Consequently, the holding force is maintained surfficiently even for weak resiliency of the sealing member thus preventing leakage of liquid. |
