摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the light convergence efficiency and SN ratio by making one linear surface continuously to the scanning surface of an optical transmitting device and making the other end annularly, and setting the ratio of the shortest distance from one end to the other end and the width of one end along the scanning surface within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Laser light from a light source 15 is deflected by an optical deflector 14 to become a scanning beam, which is incident on a memory type fluorescent body plate 11 mounted on a holder 10 to excite a storage body layer, which emits accelerated phosphorescent light. Then, the place 11 is scanned in two dimensions with the laser scanning through the motion of the plate 11 perpendicular to the beam and respective points illuminate. The light from them passes through the optical transmitting device 12 and sent from the other surface to the photodetection surface of a photodetector 13 which converts the light into an electric signal. This device 12 has the one linear surface continuously to the scanning surface and the other end made annular conforming with the shape of the photodetection surface of the detector 13, and the ratio L/W of the shortest distance L from one end to the other end and the width W of one end along the scanning surface is selected within a range of, for example, 0.4-1.5.
