PURPOSE:To allow the surface coarseness of substrate up to 30mum and to adhere a thin plate to the substrate while conforming to the coarseness thereof by laminating a thin plastic plate over a plastic substrate having recessed grooves for flowing ink thus providing a head body then providing holes consisting of the substrate and the thin plate and employing said holes as nozzle ports. CONSTITUTION:A substrate for an ink jet head comprises an ink supply section 1 and an ink ejecting section 2 which are communicated through ink flow paths, i.e. recessed grooves. When said ink jet head is manufactured, a substrate 3 is first injection molded then the recessed grooves are buried with filler 4 through screen printing thereafter the substrate filled with filler is inserted into a mold so as to stick a thin plate 5. Finally, the filler 4 is removed to provide nozzle holes 6 constructed with the substrate 3 and the thin plate 5. In such ink jet head, the thin plate 5 can be stuck irrespective of the coarseness of the surface of the substrate 3 without feeding air between the substrate and the thin plate, thereby the coarseness of the surface of the substrate can be allowed up to 30mum. |
