PURPOSE:To realize effective absorption of harmonics, by providing a first ternary winding, a primary winding, a second ternary winding, a tap winding and a secondary winding concentrically and in that order from the leg side to the outer periphery of an iron core and connecting a harmonic absorbing filter to the series-connected body of the ternary windings. CONSTITUTION:A first ternary winding 8, a primary winding 1, a second ternary winding 9, a tap winding 5 and secondary winding 2 are provided sequentially in that order from the leg side to the outer periphery of an iron core 10 by winding them concentrically while spacing them by a distance required for providing appropriate insulation therebetween. An L-C harmonic absorbing filter 7 is conductively connected to the line ends of the ternary winding 13 composed of the series-connected windings 8 and 9. Thus, the winding 8 is arranged behind the winding 1 having less variance in isolation impedance and, therefore, the effect of magnetic flux leaked from the winding 12 can be decreased. An average isolation impedance of the ternary winding can be maintained at a constant level by adjusting distribution of numbers of turns of the ternary winding, and harmonics can be absorbed effectively.
