<p>PURPOSE:To easily and continuously produce anodes by arranging cores in a direction perpendicular to the forward direction of a continuously cast flat plate so as to alternately form the ears of anodes on the right and left edges of the plate in the forward direction and by cutting the parts where the ears of the anodes connect with the adjacent anodes. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate 6 having holes is produced with cores 5 and the parts 1, 2, 3, 4 where the ends of the ears of anodes connect with the adjacent anodes are cut to produce anodes. The width of the connection parts 1, 2, 3, 4 is preferably regulated so that molten metal flows uniformly through the parts during pouring. The temp. of the molten metal is 1,100-1,200 deg.C in case of molten crude copper and 340-360 deg.C in case of molten crude lead.</p> |
