PURPOSE:To securely and automatically clean the dirt of a casing by driving and controlling plural motors in order according to signals from an image fixation temperature detecting means and a copy quantity count storage means and operating cleaning members successively. CONSTITUTION:There are plural input signals, i.e. signals of a changeover SW1 (which operates a cleaner at the time of power-on operation or operates the cleaner according to the quantity of copies) and a changeover SW2 (which operates the cleaner 26 at the time of the power-on operation and also operates the cleaner as well according to the quantity of copies), the signal of a reset SW (which resets an abnormality detection flag), and a signal of a thermistor which detects transfer image fixation temperature. Further, there is the input signal of a manual SW which operates a charger cleaner manually. Charger cleaners provided to an electrostatic charger, a before-transfer charger, a transfer charger, a separation charger, and a before-cleaning charger respectively are driven and controlled in order according to the signals to clean a charger wire and the internal surface of the casing.
