PURPOSE:To efficiently recover Pd, Pt and Rh from a dinitrodiammine Pd filtrate by electrolyzing the filtrate in an electrolytic cell. CONSTITUTION:A dinitrodiammine Pd filtrate 7 having about 3.8g/l initial concn. of Pd is poured into an electrolytic cell 1, and the anode 3 and the cathode 4 are placed in the cell 1 so that about 1cm interval is left between the electrodes. A Ti net coated with Pt is used as the anode 3 and a Pd sheet as the cathode 4. The filtrate 7 is then stirred with a magnetic stirrer 2, the electrode potential of the cathode 4 is regulated to about 2V which is higher than the potential at which metallic complexes are deposited, and electrolysis is carried out at about 10A/dm<2> cathode current density and about 24 deg.C initial bath temp. Thus, Pd, Pt and Rh are efficiently deposited from the filtrate 7 and recovered.
