PURPOSE:To improve the availability of a conductive polymer and increase the charge and discharge efficiency, by polymerizing the conductive polymer on a metallic foam substance with a specific porousness, forming a conductive material where the conductive polymer is formed in the spaces of the metallic foam substance, and using such a conductive material as one side of the electrode materials. CONSTITUTION:In the presence of an oxidizer, on a metallic foam substance 8 having spaces to maintain the oxidizer, with a porousness 70 to 98 %, a conductive polymer is polymerized in a gas phase atmosphere, and the conductive polymer is formed in the spaces of the metallic foam substance to make a conductive material, which is used at least at one side of the electrode materials. The oxidizer is a compound with polymerizing property to a monomer for polymerizing a conductive polymer, and used as a single or a plurally combined agent. Normally, a metallic salt, a peroxide, a nitrogen oxide, and the like, which has a strong residual acid radial, a halogen, or a cyanogen is used for this purpose. The ratio of the oxidizer to the monomer compound is related to the production amount of the polymer, and is preferable to be 0.005 to 5000 mol. |
