PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the diffusion of a harmful gas generated during electrolysis by installing an automatically opening and closing door on a plating tank. CONSTITUTION:An article is loaded in an automatic traveller, subjected to prescribed pretreatment and conveyed to a prescribed position. An automatically opening and closing door 4 is opened, the article is put in a plating tank 1 with a carriage and electrolysis is carried out. The door 4 is closed simultaneously with the beginning of electrolysis and an exhaust fan 8 is worked. After the electrolysis is finished, the door 4 is opened, the article is pulled up from the tank 1 with the carriage and the door 4 is closed. The exhaust power of the fan 8 is then reduced. The door 4 is opened and closed with motors 1, 2, 3, 4.
