PURPOSE:To improve the quality of an article and to economize water by keeping the electric conductivity of water in a washing tank constant with a conductivity detecting sensor, a control board and a solenoid valve and by washing the surface of the article when the article is pulled up from the washing tank. CONSTITUTION:A control board 5 is worked to measure the electric conductivity of water 3 in a washing tank 1 with a sensor and the signal is received by the board 5 through a lead wire 6-1. The board 5 subjects a solenoid valve 4-2 to on-off control through a lead wire 6-2 to supply water and to keep the electric conductivity of the water 3 in the tank 1 constant. An article 2 immersed in the water 3 for a prescribed time is pulled up from the tank 1 with a carriage. At this time, a solenoid valve 4-1 is opened to wash the surface of the article 2 with clean water sprayed from spray nozzles 8-1, 8-2.
