PURPOSE:To carry out the satisfactory chemical conversion treatment of a work without scratching or denting the work by successively subjecting the work to degreasing, washing and chemical conversion treatment in one treatment tank. CONSTITUTION:A work 5 is put on a frame 4 in a treatment tank 1, a degreasing soln. in a tank 10 is fed to the tank 1 through a feed pipe 14 and a pulsator 2 is rotated to degrease the work 5. After the degreasing is finished, the degreasing soln. is returned to the tank 10 through a return pipe 12, water is fed to the tank 1 through a feed pipe 20 to wash the work 5 and the work 5 is further washed with hot water fed through a feed pipe 21 at about 70-80 deg.C. The used water and hot water are discharged from a discharge pipe 3. A soln. for chemical conversion treatment in a tank 11 is then fed to the tank 1 through a feed pipe 15 to carry out the chemical conversion treatment of the work 5. After the chemical conversion treatment is finished, the soln. is returned to the tank 11 through a return pipe 13 and the work 5 is washed with water and hot water as mentioned above. The treated work 5 is sent to a rust preventing treatment stage.
