PURPOSE:To recover Ni as nickel sulfate from a Cu-Ni alloy with reduced consumption of electric power by using the alloy as an electrode, filling an aqueous sulfuric acid soln. as an electrolytic soln. into an electrolytic cell, fitting a means of preventing a leak of electric current to the cell and carrying out DC electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:A Cu-Ni alloy is used as an electrode, an aqueous sulfuric acid soln. as an electrolytic soln. is filled into an electrolytic cell, a means of preventing a leak of electric current is fitted to the cell and DC electrolysis is carried out. In order to prevent a leak of electrolytic current from both sides and the bottom of the electrode plate, the parts are blocked to such a degree that resistance which affects electrolytic current is not produced. For example, a U-shaped diaphragm is placed between the electrode and a counter electrode so that both sides and the bottom are brought into close contact with the cell.
