PURPOSE:To improve straightness and strength of a carbon fiber reinforced pultrusion rod, by using a carbon fiber filament bundle the adhered content of whose sizing agent is adjusted smaller than a specified value for preparing the pultrusion rod consisting of a matrix resin and a filament bundle of a reinforcing fiber containing a carbon fiber of more than a specified quantity. CONSTITUTION:For preparing a pultrusion rod consisting of a filament bundle of a reinforcing fiber whose carbon fiber content is 50wt% and more than that and a matrix resin combining therewith, a carbon fiber filament bundle, the adhered content of whose sizing agent is adjusted of 0.3wt% or less than that, is used. By using a twisted carbon fiber filament bundle having the above described sizing agent content, the filament bundle converges by forming a circular cross-section when a tensile force for molding is applied and orientation of the filaments occurs in the molding. At the same time, impregnating property of the resin is thereby improved and the cross-section structure of the molding is also macroscopically homogenized. The straightness of the molding and the straightness after grinding are thereby improved. |
