PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in resolution by operating a motion vector between fields in accordance with the motion vector between transmitted frames to correct motions of all signals in the first-fourth fields. CONSTITUTION:Fields a1 and c0 stored in a memory 4 are moved two- dimensionally by a motion vector A1 inputted to the first motion correction field memory 4, and motion correction is performed based on a field c1 inputted to a video input terminal 1. Signals of fields b1 and d0 are stored in the second motion correction field memory 7. The output of an operator 5 is the vector A1 as it is because a motion vector D0 just preceding the motion vector A1, namely, the output of a delay device 6 is 0, and contents of the second motion correction field memory 7 are moved two-dimensionally by the motion vector A1, and motion correction is performed based on a field C1. Thus, the degradation in resolution is suppressed.
