PURPOSE:To measure the spatial electric field distribution on the surface of an object by using an array of radio wave absorber cells covered with a magnetic material, and a radio wave lens, and measuring an output voltage of each cell by varying a DC magnetic field which is applied to each cell. signal CONSTITUTION:A radio wave lens 6 focuses a radio wave on a radio wave absorber cell array 7. The array 7 generates a voltage corresponding to the intensity of an electric field by using an antenna which has been formed by a metallic short fiber in each cell consisting of a ferromagnetic material. A switching part 3 connects successively each cell of the array 7, based on timing supplied from an external synchronizing circuit through a timing supply cable 15, and outputs a generated voltage by using a voltage output cable 14. When one measurement is completed in a voltage measuring part, a measuring frequency of the next time is determined, a position of a magnet 13 is adjusted by using a position adjusting screw 16, and a magnetic field applied to the cell 7 is changed. Thereafter, the space electric field distribution of the frequency corresponding to length of the antenna of the surface of an object can be measured exactly by the same procedure.
