PURPOSE:To increase a fuel injection pressure, by forming a plurality of plunger passage passing through a rotor in its radial direction, the passage being formed at the different positions in an axial direction of respective drive shafts for reducing dead volume when fuel is supplied under pressure. CONSTITUTION:Since two plunger passages 30 and 31 passing through a rotor 7 in its radial direction are formed at different positions in an axial line, they are not interfered by the reciprocation of plungers 9a, 9b inserted into the plunger passage 30. Therefore, the plunger 9a, 9b can reciprocate at their maximum lift position with a little bit of clearance. As a result, the outside diameter of the rotor can be made smaller, which permits an injection pump to be made smaller. In addition, the very small clearance between the plungers 9a, 9b prevents dead volume from being caused so that an fuel injection pressure can be increased.
