PURPOSE:To form a large quantity of grooves having optional curve and grove width in a short time by coating parts other than groove forming parts of a glass plate with a hydrogenfluoride-resisting material and etching it in a hydrogenfluoride solution. CONSTITUTION:Parts other than parts where grooves should be formed, namely, etching parts on a glass plate 1 are masked with a cola tar, and this glass plate 1 is put in a plastic vessel 4 where a concentrated hydrogenfluoride solution 5 is put. At this time, parts which should not be etched of the glass plate 1 are coated with the coal tar 2. The glass plate 1 is pull up after about one hour and is washed with water, and the cola tar 2 is removed in an organic solution to form grooves 3. Thus, a large quantity of grooves having optional curve and groove width are formed in a short time. |
