PURPOSE:To improve input speed and operability, by outputting a numeric figure and an Arabic figure in the same code to a filling means, and displaying the numeric figure and the Arabic figure separately on a display device. CONSTITUTION:An inputted character is sent to a floppy disk 10, and a display device 9 through a terminal control part 2. An Arabic lower stage key mode is stored at an Arabic field designating part 4, and a character code, such as an Arabic character, or the Arabic figure, at a key storing buffer 3, respectively. A display displaying address is generated by a character address conversion part 6 according to the character code, and the Arabic lower stage key mode. In a case of the Arabic figure, a character address formed in the shape of a display displaying Arabic figure, is generated, and it is shifted from left to right in order, then it is inputted to a picture plane buffer 7. In the case of the Arabic character, a corresponding character address in the form of the Arabic character, is generated, and it is shifted from right to left, then it is inputted to the picture plane buffer 7.
