PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of a mode by displaying valid directions of a cursor key on a display part. CONSTITUTION:Cursor keys 68 are used as auxiliary keys to set desired modes. Keys 68a-68d have LEDs respectively, and keys 68 whose LEDs are lit are valid keys. If the LED of the key 68b or 68c is lit, the validity of the key 68b or 68c is discriminated. Keys 68b and 68c are turned on and off for the purpose of selecting trimming, masking, and combinational copying, and the key 68c is invalid when trimming is selected, and the key 68b is invalid when combinational copying is selected. When the key 68b is valid, each subfunction code of trimming or the like is incremented. When the key 68c is turned on and its validity is discriminated, subfunction codes are decremented to light the LED of the valid key, thereby facilitating mode setting. |
