PURPOSE:To perform a faithful block conversion for a screen by shifting a display memory by the shift instruction according to the detection of a multiple color block and the counting result of the number of the multiple color blocks and detecting the minimum display memory position of the multiple color block number. CONSTITUTION:In a multiple color block decision circuit 5, a multiple color block number count signal D at the position of the display memory 1 is stored. The multiple color block decision circuit 5 compares the respective stored block number count signals D to discriminates the smallest position (for instance C) and supplies the shift instruction E to a shift designating circuit 6. The shift designating circuit 6 shifts the display memory by an upward shift signal F for shifting one dot line upward in the direction of Y. Further, according to the shift instruction E from the multiple color block decision circuit 5, the shift designating circuit 6 shifts the display memory rightward for one dot in the direction of X to set the display memory to a position (e). The respective block number count signals D at the positions (e), (f), (g), (c) are compared even in the direction of X, the smallest position is discriminated to shift the display memory 1. |
