PURPOSE:To stabilize the generation of Karman vortices by equalizing roughly bottoms of an upstream columnar body whose section is roughly an isosceles triangle and a downstream columnar body being roughly an equal leg trapezoid, opposing and placing the bases in parallel and at an interval, and making round the base edges of the upstream columnar body. CONSTITUTION:A section of an upstream columnar body 8 is an isosceles triangle shape and an edge of the base 10 is made round R. A section of a downstream columnar body 9 is an equal leg trapezoid shape. Lengths d1, d2 of the bases 10, 11 of the columnar bodies are equal, an interval (a) is held, and they are inserted vertically to a flow and in parallel to each other. According to such constitution, in case of a transient increase of a flow velocity, a small vortex is not generated, a stable Karman vortex is generated stably, and it follows up. Therefore, a flow velocity or a flow rate of a fluid can be measured stably from a frequency of the Karman vortex train. |
