PURPOSE:To attain large capacity, high access and highly intelligence by reducing the moving part moment inertia of a head actuator or a spindle motor or making the profile thin. CONSTITUTION:The spindle motor consists of components 5-13, and the head actuator consists of components 21-24. A rotor magnet 10 of the spindle motor is arranged at the inner circumference of a stator coil 13. the head 16 is arranged radially to a pivot shaft 27 being the turning center of the arm 18. A flat moving coil 21 is arranged axially by a stator magnet 23 with air gap. through the constitution above, the moving part moment of inertia of the head actuator and the spindle motor including the arm 18 is reduced and the profile is made thin.
