PURPOSE:To display more number of states with a few display devices by controlling a series of repeitive display for the number of times of flickering of the same display color and for that of the other display color in display devices different in display color. CONSTITUTION:Input signals 1-N for state display of a disk driver are inputted to a state detection circuit 2. The circuit 2 checks the state of the input signals and supplies the signal to a display device driver 3, then the device 3 controls the display drive of a display device 4 for green and white colors. In displaying the sate 1, e.g., by a signal 1, the circuit 3 repeats alternately flickering such as one flicker of a green display device 1, then one flickering of a white color display device 2 and restoring to the display device 1 for one flickering. In displaying the state 3 by using a signal 3, the display device 1 is flickered twice, then the display device 2 is flickered once, and this state is repeated. In setting the number of flickering times for green and white colors in advance, the state of many devices is displayed.
