PURPOSE:To improve a rate of operation of a system and an efficiency of waste-heat of an engine in an engine driving heat pump type air-conditioning hot water feeding device by a method wherein the number of revolution of a coolant heating pump is controlled in response to the number of operation of an indoor unit and a set temperature. CONSTITUTION:An outdoor system controller 16 determines an operation mode together with a communicated signal from indoor controllers 10-12 and a concentrated remote controller 41. Signals corresponding to the number of operated indoor units and the set temperature are transmitted to a variable DC power supply device 69 from I/O port 67 through communication line 70. The variable DC power supply device 69 controls the number of rotation of a coolant heating pump 68 to the set value in response to the input signal. Simultaneously, I/O port 67 for the controller 16 controls a coolant heating solenoid valve 36 through a signal line 58. With this arrangement, it is possible to improve an efficiency of discharging heat of an engine and an efficiency of a system.
