PURPOSE:To obtain high skid quality and durability by forming the glass run body of EPDM rubber and a diene system rubber layer with the surface thereof cured in a halide process on the part of said glass run body in contact with window glass. CONSTITUTION:In a glass run fitted along the window frame of an automobile and in contact with the periphery of window glass, the glass run proper has a base part 1, a side part 2 and a lip part 3, and formed with EPDM (ethylene propylene) rubber. And a rubber layer 4 composed of a diene system rubber such as nitrile rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber is formed on the inner surface of the base part 1 in slidable contact with the window glass and on a surface opposite to both lip parts 3, and the surface of said rubber layer 4 is cured in a halide process. The rubber layer 4 may be composed of a blend material with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin added to the diene system rubber.
