PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having high sensitivity and less tendency for generating fog by incorporating surface latent image type silver halide particles to an emulsion layer, and the compd. having a group capable of fogging the silver halide, or giving an absorbing power to the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The surface latent image type silver halide particles which combines with a coloring matter forming coupler are incorporated to the emulsion layer. The surface latent image type silver halide particles mean the silver halide particles having the surface higher in sensitivity than that of the inner part thereof. The titled material contains the compd. shown by the formula where Sg is a group capable of giving absorbing power to the silver halide particles, and is for example, a nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic ring such as pyrrole, or imidazole, etc., FA is a group capable of fogging the silver halide or a group capable for promoting the development of silver halide, and is for example, a reductive compd. such as hydrazine, p-aminophenol, etc., and Link is a binding org. group such as alkylene or phenylene, etc. Thus, as the titled material contains the surface latent image type silver halide particles and the compd. shown by the formula, the titled material having high sensitivity and less tendency for generating fog is obtd. |
