PURPOSE:To prevent collision of mediums with each other and to perform stable containing of the medium, by providing a conveyance controlling means which stops conveyance of a subsequent medium based on a detecting output from a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When a preceding medium 10 is detected by a detecting medium 6, a time counting means 7 is started to start counting of a given time. When a subsequent medium 10 is detected by the detecting means 6 during counting, a conveyance controlling means 8 stops conveyance of the subsequent medium 10, and after counting by the time counting means 7 is completed, the subsequent medium 10 is conveyed to contain it in a containing part. This constitution ensures a distance between the preceding medium 10 and the subsequent medium 10, resulting in prevention of the occurrence of rear-end collision to prevent damage of the medium, and in stable containing of the mediums to enable orderly alignment of the mediums. |
