PURPOSE:To prevent a trouble that an editing area is erroneously designated, by automatically selecting the operation permitting state or the operation inhibiting state of area designation according as a pen for tablet input is pulled out or stored. CONSTITUTION:When an original is placed on an original retainer of a tablet input part 7 and the pen is pulled out of a pen storage member, an area designating operation permitting state select switch P2 is operated to select the state where the area designating operation is permitted. That is, gate circuits 28a and 29a are opened to make it possible that signals from A/D converters 28 and 29 are taken into a CPU 30. Thereafter, a designated area of the original is pointed with the pen through a touch panel to designate an image forming area. When the pen is stored in the pen storage member after the area designating operation, the area designating operation inhibiting state is selected, and circuits 28a and 29a are closed and a gate 35 is opened to make it possible to take in the signal of a print switch P5. That is, erroneous area designation is prevented because the area designating operation permitting or inhibiting state is selected according as the pen is pulled out or inserted. |
