PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out dry magnetic separation by supplying the pulverized raw material dispersed by primary air and secondary air to a magnetic separator, and specifying the flow velocity in a cylinder and the content of the pulverized raw material. CONSTITUTION:When the primary air 4 is introduced into a disperser 3, the pulverized raw material 1 is sucked into the negative pressure part of the primary air 4 generated at the tip of a nozzle 16 from a raw material feed funnel 15. The primary air 4 is rapidly expanded past an orifice 17, hence the agglomerates in the pulverized material 1 are crushed, and the particles are dispersed. The secondary air is further supplied from an exhauster, hence the volume of air is increased, and the dispersed particles are supplied to the magnetic separator 5 without being reagglomerated. The magnetic material is collected as the magnetized material in the magnetic separator 5, and recovered in a magnetized material recovery device. The nonmagnetic material is collected by a nonmagnetized material recovery device. The magnetic separation is carried out at 1-10m/sec flow velocity and 0.1-1.5kg/m<3> raw material content in the air current, and the disperser and the magnetic separator are grounded. |
