<p>PURPOSE:To contrive the saving of the space for installation of an arrester and to enable the sure prevention of invasion of a thunder surge by providing a cable leading-in part in an elephant chamber connected with a leading-out part from a shunt reactor body and connecting a gas arrester chamber to said elephant chamber and placing the arrester inside that. CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 of a shunt reactor body 1 is connected with an external cable through a leading-out part 8 and a lead-in part 10. Another end of an arrester 14 is made at earthing potential. As a result, the arrester 14 can be installed in a shunt reactor without taking any installation space. Furthermore, if a thunder surge invades, it will be absorbed by the arrester 14 before it reaches the shunt reactor body 1. As the arrester 14 is connected with the shunt reactor body 1 through a conductor 11 in an elephant chamber 6, there is no possibility that a thunder strikes the connection point.</p> |
