PURPOSE:To eliminate a time for adjusting the position of a mold upon replacing the mold and facilitate the maintenance as well as the inspection of the mold by a method wherein the register value of the original point of mold thickness adjustment is subtracted from the moving position of a toggle type mold clamping movable board with respect to a fixed head to obtain a mold thickness adjusting position while the register value of the original point of opening and closing the mold is subtracted from the moving position to obtain the opening and closing positions of the mold. CONSTITUTION:A position signal APA is detected from a position sensor 1 at first and the correction of an original point for adjusting a mold thickness, which is shown by formula (1), is effected. Next, the minimum mold thickness correction, shown by formula (2) is effected. In this case, a mold thickness adjusting present position APADT after correcting he minimum mold thickness becomes equal to a mold thickness DCM of the used mold, then, a mold thickness adjusting may be finished, however, in case the thickness does not become equal to the thickness DCM of the mold employed in the process, the adjustment of the mold thickness is effected by the actuating command of a mold thickness motor starting command. On the other hand, the correction of the original point for opening and closing the mold, which is shown by formula (3), is effected as an operation related to the opening and closing of the mold. Next, a mold opening and closing speed/pressure switching command is commanded only when the present position APA of opening and closing the mold becomes equal to a mold opening and closing speed/pressure switching setting position and, as a result, the operation may be finished when the mold opening or closing is finished. |
