PURPOSE:To obtain a foaming body provided with a desired configuration by a method wherein wall surfaces of a reduced mold, defining the profile of a mold cavity and extending depthwisely, are slanted so that the wall surfaces are narrowed in accordance with the depth thereof while the wall surfaces are established uprightly at a place whereat the inclined wall surface contacts with a split surface and the depth of the vertical wall surfaces are specified. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of a reduced mold, which are extended depthwisely, are slanted so as to be narrowed in accordance with the depth thereof based on he reduced mold A similar to a desired rectangular parallelepiped at first. In this case, the surface is slanted about an axis at the intermediate position of the depth thereof and the surface at deep side is narrowed so as to compensate an enlarged area at the side of a split surface, in order to make the displacement of a cavity in the mold constant. The slanted wall surfaces 13 are slanted by an angle alpha in he reduced mold A in such a manner. Next, vertical surfaces 14 are formed so as to be orthogonal to the split surface 12 by projecting the wall surfaces into the cavity. The depth X of the vertical surfaces 14 is determined so as to be 1/5 or less of the maximum depth Y of the cavity and the depth of the same is determined so as to be within 0.5-5mm. The angle alpha should be within 10 deg.-70 deg.. The cavity is formed at the side of the main body 1 of the mold and resin is molded in the cavity, then, is foamed after taking it up from the mold whereby the foaming body of a rectangular parallelepiped may be obtained.
