PURPOSE:To enable an assembly to be carried out with a posture being modified by providing for a socket shaft a locking member which has an engaging portion with a rotating body and makes the rotating body rotate through the rotation of the socket shaft. CONSTITUTION:A shaft member 2 is floated off a rotation receiver jig 14 and supported with a shaft member 6 so as not to rotate. Under this condition, a socket shaft 7 is rotated, and a nut 3 is being fastened to the shaft member 2, when a ring gear 5 and the outer race 4a of a tapered bearing 4 rotate together with the socket shaft through a locking member 8. Accordingly, it follows that the inner race 4b of the tapered bearing 4 is driven into through the nut 3 against a rotating tapered roller 4c. Therefore, even if there is some clearance between the shaft member and the inner race 4b, the posture of the inner race 4b is always modified by the rotation of the tapered roller 4c.
