PURPOSE:To transfer deflecting vibration to a rotor efficiently, by fitting a metal ring to the outside of a piezoelectric vibrator, which is divided in the circumferential direction and polarized into reverse polarities, protruding the central part of the outer surface of the metal ring, and bringing the protruded upper and lower slant surfaces into contact with the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical piezoelectric vibrator 31 is divided in the circumferential direction, and the neighboring parts are polarized into reverse polarities. A metal ring 32 is fitted to the outside of the piezoelectric vibrator 31, and a stator is formed. A driving signal is imparted through lead wires 64 and 65. The center of the outer part of the metal ring 32 is protruded, and slant surfaces 32c and 32d, which are continued to upper and lower surfaces 32a and 32b, are formed. Moved surfaces 51a and 52a of half bodies 51 and 52 of a rotor are brought into contact with the slant surfaces 32c and 32d of the metal ring 32. The half bodies 51 and 52 are formed by metal such as stainless steel and laminated through an elastic material 53 such as silicone rubber. The bodies are compressed and fixed with screws 54. By utilizing the deflection vibration within a plane in this way, the vibration of the vibrator can be efficiently converted into rotating force of the rotor. |
