PURPOSE:To display always the same shape of the image, even if the orientation direction of the molecular axis of the liquid crystal changes, by adding a logic circuit capable of inversing optionally the phase of an alternated signal to the titled device. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is added with the logic circuit capable of inversing optionally the phase of the alternated signal from an outside. Namely, the DF signal is a signal for alternatizing, and is input to a terminal 15. The signal S is the signal capable of controlling a positive type and a negative type displaies from the outside respectively, and is input to a terminal 16. The pull down transistor 17 is added to the terminal 16, thereby maintaining the terminal 16 to a low voltage, so far as the high voltage is not impressed to the terminal 16. The DF signal and the S signal are inputted to an exclusive OR gate 18, thereby obtaining the output E.
