The invention relates to a device for supporting crossmember carriers (10) on frame carriers (11) of a roof for terraces, house entrances or the like, having a bracket which is in each case arranged at one end of the crossmember carrier (10), whose vertical mounting leg (12) can be fixed on the neighbouring frame carrier (11) and on whose bracket leg (14), projecting away from the mounting leg (12), the crossmember carrier (10) bears, that end of the bracket leg (14) which is directed away from the mounting leg (12) being supported by means of a supporting strut (15) projecting up from the mounting leg (12).
