A bracket for improving the sealing between a shrink sleeve consisting of film and at least two electrical cables, having a finger which is resistant to bending and is constructed to be placed against the sleeve and for pressing the sleeve in in a gap region which is located between the cables, and having an opposing body, which is resistant to bending and is connected to one end of the finger at one of its ends, those ends of the finger and of the opposing body which are connected to one another being arranged in the region of the end of the sleeve when the bracket is in the installed position, and the other, free ends of the finger and of the opposing body gripping the sleeve, characterised in that, in order to vary the distance between the free ends of the finger and of the opposing body, the finger is held against the opposing body such that it can move essentially parallel thereto, and can be displaced towards the opposing body and can be clamped by means of a screw connection which is provided in the region of one of its ends.
