摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain film which is capable of packaging an article swiftly and tightly at a comparatively high temperature, by a method wherein the film possesses higher breaking strength than shrinkage stress in a stretching direction in a specific degree of crosslinking, shrinkage factor and specific temperature range. CONSTITUTION:It is desirable that a degree of crosslinking of a crosslinked polyethylene film for packaging of a sleeve is 20-80% by gel content. The crosslinked polyethylene film is stretched uniaxially. It is desirable that a shrinkage factor to be given by stretching is 30% or more. Breaking strength in the direction meeting at right angle with a stretching direction is higher than shrinkage stress also at the temperature less than that lower by 10 deg.C than the fusion point of polyethylene in the uniaxially stretched crosslinked polyethylene film. The film is high in strength at the temperature at the time of packaging the sleeve and shrinkage stress is large. Therefore, the packaging is possible without generating breakage of the film even at the packaging of an article having an acute-angled part.
