PURPOSE:To enable accurate squaring of even a low input voltage, by subjecting to a Darlington connection a transistor (Tr) connected to the output of a DC amplifier of a voltage follower circuit for voltage-current conversion. CONSTITUTION:A voltage-current converter section is made up of a DC amplifier 12 and transistors 7 and 8 which are arranged in a Darlington connection. In a current squaring circuit, the collector of a transistor 1 is connected to the base of a transistor 5 and a constant current source 9 while the base thereof 1 is connected to the emitter of the transistor 5 and the base of a transistor 2. The collector of the transistor 2 is connected to a constant voltage source 10 while the emitter thereof 2 is connected to the emitter of a transistor 3 and the collector thereof 3 is connected to the base of a transistor 6. Moreover, the base of the transistor 3 is connected to the emitter of the transistor 6 and the base of a transistor 4 and the emitter of the transistor 4 is connected to the emitter of the transistor 1 and a constant voltage source 16 while the collector of the transistor 4 is connected to a resistance 15. This enables a higher output accuracy for the voltage-current converter section and the current squaring circuit.
