PURPOSE:To enable the involute contour of a scroll body of each scroll to be worked with high accuracy by rotating workpieces of respective fixed and revolution scrolls with constant speed and working each workpiece by a cutting means moving linearly with constant speed. CONSTITUTION:A scroll type hydraulic machinery comprises fixed and revolution scrolls 2, 3 having involute-shaped scroll bodies 20, 30 with radius a of basic circle respectively. then, is working each of scrolls 2, 3 workpieces 4 of respective scrolls 2, 3 are rotated with constant angular velocity omega around the axis Z passing through the origin O of any stationary rectangular coordinates OXY set on the workpiece orthogonally to the axis Y in the coordinate system OXY. On the other hand, a cutting means 5 is moved with velocity v=a.omega along a locus d parallel to the axis Y in the coordinate system OXY and drawn spaced by the radius a of basic circle from from the origin O so that the workpiece 4 is formed into the involute-shaped scroll body.
