Coils using SMD technology are wound on ceramic or ferrite formers. Since the dimensions of the winding formers are very small, their production and also clamping them into an automatic winding machine are not without problems. If these formers are produced in a multiple blank, processing is more cost-effective. After separating the blank into strips, said strips can be wound simultaneously and not separated into individual coils until this has been done.
