Fastening a roofrack to a vehicle roof

A vehicle roof (1) has on its side edge (1') a groove (2) which accommodates a holding pocket (7). The latter is provided with a receiving element (3) which can be displaced by the action of a leaf spring (9) from a rest position situated below the outline of the roof into the extended operating position (a). In the latter, a fastening foot (17) of a supporting foot (4) supported by the side edge (1') can be suspended in recesses (10) in the reception element (3). The fastening foot (17) is finally pulled upwards by an adjusting screw (23), by means of which the roofrack (5) is rigidly fastened to the vehicle roof (1). <IMAGE>
